Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about selling a vehicle to Estate Cars.

What types of vehicles do you buy?

We consider cars, trucks, SUVs, classic vehicles and other vehicles from estates and private owners throughout Western Massachusetts.

Do you only buy vehicles from estates?

No. We also buy vehicles directly from private owners who want a straightforward way to sell.

How does the process work?

You can begin with our free vehicle appraisal tool: enter your VIN, mileage, trim and condition to check a preliminary buying range where enough market information is available. You do not need to enter your name or email to view that range. When you want a professional review or to discuss selling, share your details through the appraisal page or our detailed intake form. We review the information, discuss the next steps and, when appropriate, arrange a home appraisal and make an offer.

What information do you need?

Before arranging a visit, we need your vehicle’s VIN, exact mileage and photos or copies of both sides of its title. Vehicle photographs and information about its condition are also helpful.

Can you come to my home?

Yes. We can arrange home visits throughout our Western Massachusetts service area.

What if the vehicle belongs to an estate or has title complications?

Tell us about the circumstances when submitting your information. We can discuss the documentation needed and, when appropriate, options for legal or title assistance. Any applicable costs will be disclosed.

Am I obligated to accept an offer?

No. You can review our offer and decide whether you’d like to proceed.
